Using some of the best technology available to us, we engaged the South African public with mall activations across Gauteng that helped to educate people around issues affecting our planet, people, and communities.
The biggest hook we used was Augmented Reality, which helped us bring centre courts of major malls to life with incredible displays that wowed the public and grabbed their attention.
There were three main elements to these activations: a main screen that brought five of South Africa’s most popular animals to (virtual) life with AR, pillar pods that showed viewers more about HP’s pillars, and “pledge portraits” that let people make pledges for Planet, People, and Community.
Here are some of the statistics we gathered from the events:

The biggest highlight from the campaign was Global Citizen advocate K Naomi’s visit to our Sandton stand. It was a true pleasure hosting her and seeing her energy and enthusiasm in action!
Overall, this activation brought in 1850 pledges and 4377 stand visitors, a major success.
