Q3 saw us engage in a banner-led online campaign to generate some buzz around our latest OMEN by HP gaming notebook, the 17-an101ni.
This aggressively-styled piece of kit tells viewers the second they look at it that no game scares it, and that settings can be cranked to the max without fear of slowdowns or frame rate drops.
The messaging of the banners invited viewers to “Go beyond limits”, hinting at the notebook’s unbridled power.
The imagery also clearly showed the RGB-backlit keyboard, and thus HP’s understanding of what gamers want from their hardware in 2019: power AND engaging looks.
The campaign ran in June and July of this year, and the banners were placed on various local gaming websites, aimed at South African gaming enthusiasts from performance gamers/enthusiasts to online core PC gamers. We achieved 414,302 impressions, attracted 138,101 unique users, and saw 2,072 clicks in that time.
A retargeting campaign ran over the same period, and resulted in 276,202 impressions, attracted 92,067 unique users, and brought in 1,381 clicks.
The banners came in various sizes and aspect ratios, but all were slight variants of what you see in the header here.
