Q3 saw the arrival of AMD’s incredible Ryzen Pro processor, and to introduce it to the local channel, HP and AMD visited three of the biggest IT distributors in the country to trumpet its arrival.
As well as creating awareness of everything the Ryzen Pro CPU has to offer, the purpose of the event was to position HP as a strategic partner of AMD, and in that we succeeded hugely.
How we did it
The day before the event, everyone who was invited received a care package “desk drop” containing a very average lunch, with a note that read “Today’s lunch is ok… tomorrow’s lunch is Ryzen“.

The next day, AMD and HP blew event attendees away with a far superior mobile lunch experience that spoke to everything that is Ryzen Pro.
They received not only a fantastic lunch from kitted-out food trucks (representing cutting-edge mobility), but branded AMD Ryzen Pro and HP goodie bags, informational flyers as well, and they got to participate in an HP & Ryzen Pro competition based on questions around Ryzen Pro.

Our results
In four days, we covered four different venues and reached over 400 key sales people with AMD Ryzen Pro with HP messaging.
We visited (and reached):
- HP HQ – 100 sales people
- Axiz (Distributor) – 160 sales people, 30 warehouse people
- Drive Control (Distributor) – 90 sales people, 35 warehouse people
- Datacentrix (Reseller) – 80 sales people, 30 warehouse people, and 30 customers
At the end of the event, we had ensured that HP and Ryzen Pro were top of mind for all involved. We received fantastic feedback from distributors and resellers alike, who were incredibly excited about what’s to come next from AMD Ryzen Pro and HP.
