HP Africa Connecting You Consumer Holiday Campaign

Between 1st December 2017 and the 31st of January, 2018, HP (together with Intel) ran an in-store promotional campaign in South Africa, Nigeria, and Morocco, designed to increase brand awareness, sway customers away from competing brands, and position HP as an attractive and desirable brand over the festive season.

In South Africa, all customers who purchased a Pavilion notebook or desktop worth R7999 or more during the promotion period, would be entitled to a R1000 travel voucher, redeemable at HP’s partner for the promotion, Flight Centre. The travel vouchers had to be redeemed at hpconnectingyou.co.za within 7 days of the initial purchase.

In Nigeria, qualifying customers were awarded a N$15000 in-store voucher (approximately R500). Moroccan customers who bought HP Pavilion notebooks or desktops worth more than 5000 DH (approximately R16500) were offered a 1000 DH (approximately R3200) gift card.

The promotion ran in Incredible Connection and HP Shop stores across South Africa, and various technology stores throughout Nigeria including Spar, Office R Us, Office Everything, and Yudala.

Promotional materials included flyers, in-store information cubes, PC mats, and wobblers, strategically placed at points of sale.

By the end of January, 10% of all qualifying South African customers had redeemed their vouchers at Flight Centre.
